Song of the Man come from the forest
Song of the Man Come From the Forest.
Performance.
I went to the forest.
I have three dogs.
One of my dog's (name) is Leg-Strap.
Here, boy!
My second dog's (name) is Reindeer-Tail-End.
Here, boy!
My third dog's (name) is Elk-Mouth-Cove.
Here, boy!
[three sturgeon gills]
[three dried-fish gills]
I take along three sturgeon gills, three dried-fish gills as food for my dogs.
[at the bottom of the knapsack] [my food]
At the bottom of the knapsack I take my food, dried meat.
I wandered through the seven stream-bank forests at the end of the Pɔu River,
I killed fifty sables.
In addition to the fifty sables
another animal, I don't know what it's worth.
I brought it downstream to Tobolsk.
Three kopecks in money were given,
Then I sold it
for three quarter kopecks.
Its ear is long, its tail is short,
its eyes are big
(it was) a big-eyed male hare.
