| There was a man and a woman. She sent her husband to the forest. The man went around and around, he found nothing. He chanced upon a bear, he cut off one of its forelegs and dragged it home. The man says to his wife: Put it into the pot! His wife put it into the pot to cook. She is spinning, the pot starts to boil. The bear came and says: In the village people are sleeping peacefully, one woman isn't sleeping, she's cooking one of my forelegs. The woman says: Husband, get up! The bear has come, we're going to be eaten up. The man says: What will it do with three limbs?! We won't get eaten. The man leapt at the bear, the bear ran off into the forest. It comes again to the house, to the man again, it says: In the village people are sleeping peacefully, a man and a woman aren't sleeping, they're cooking one of my forelegs, the woman is spinning. The woman says: Get up!, she says: Husband! The bear has come. The man says: With three limbs it won't do anything. The man got up, the bear run out into the forest. It ran back again to the man, it says: In the village everybody is sleeping very peacefully, a man and a woman aren't sleeping, they're cooking one of my forelegs, the woman is spinning. The woman says: Husband, get up! The bear has come. The man says: With three limbs what will it do?! He got up, he chased it, he was thrown down and got eaten up. His wife jumped up, she got eaten up too. Their intestines got stretched around the hut. |
